6.
This morning it was windy so I had a sail on the river with two other chaps in a sailing boat we hired. It was great fun. I will soon be a real "Master Mariner"!
I am enclosing some more photos of me and my dog. She is a fine little animal and a great companion. Isn't she very like a wolf. However she is very very gentle in spite of the fact that there is a big strain of wolf in her. She does everything & is a real little sport. She swims in the river & comes with us when we go sailing. She knows my machine from all the others & runs out to meet me every time I land! She is a very pretty beastie as you will see from the photos and – her colour is a brownie grey with white markings. She does the most wonderful jumps & I have taken some photos of her in mid air during a jump which I will send you later. I am also sending you some enlargements of that photo of me taken in the air – these will be separate. Tell Eileen that her Bairnsfather touch about me "in my gas mask" does'nt apply so much to these as they are taken in my summer kit and are perhaps better than the ones "in my gas mask"!
I am very very fit and as happy as I can be so far away from you all. The work keeps me very much occupied and in spite of the unending succession of pupils to be taught I manage to keep up a very keen interest in it. I am rather proud of my own little outfit and get very angry when some interfering staff person tries to alter my system which has been so very
