I have had a very strenuous time last week as is always the way towards the end of a month. In spite of many difficulties we turned out the full number of pilots we were asked for during the month & I can tell you it meant some hard work as every one of them was taught to fly my machines before they finished. The C.O. is awfully bucked about it as it is the first time we have qualified every pilot on these machines, and also the class of pilot we turned out was far better than before. It is a "grande vittoria" for me as now we can hardly get our chaps to go out on other machines to France as all my pupils like these so much. This is the machine that scarcely any body in the squadron would fly when I first came. I am becoming quite an authority on them & have been writing long reports on the subject to the Colonel. He came here the other day & the C.O. introduced me to him & he said "Oh yes, I've seen your name on papers lately" & laughed. The paper
