This morning I got your cable saying that Peter is back with you & flourishing and that you have had a lovely batch of letters. I'm afraid my letters must arrive at hopelessly irregular intervals altough I write pretty regularly. Still I am glad you got a really good mail at last – it is a treat to get a fat bundle of letters when there havn't any for a long time, is'nt it? You can understand how irregular our mails are when I tell you that I got the duplicate of Mothers letter No 7 on October 20th and the original on November 18th!!

I have just had to go out to rescue my little dog from a nasty sticky end – she was on the machine gun range & could not be kept away from the nuzzle of the gun! So I have had to give her a severe beating & bring her inside.

I will not answer your cable till I hear from Aunty about old Bryan. They ought to hear from him in a day or so & I hope to be able to say in my cable that he is safe & sound.

I am so glad that you have Eileen & Peter back with you once more. I know how you love to have
