end of his troubles. Bryan's ankle has gone again & he is going to Hospital. We hope that he may be sent to England for a rest. It would be grand if he were. Gilbert has been doing awfully well in Jerusalem and has been highly complimented by his general.

I am glad you had a nice letter from Mrs Vidal. She is a dear old thing & writes to me often and sends me out boxes of her chocolate. It is awfully good of her to do it. 

I must go to sleep now as it is midnight & I am very weary having been on the go since daybreak.
