the moment his private address in London, but his club is the Junior Athenaeum. Keep in touch with Australians in London by signing your name both at the Agent General's, & the High Commissioner's, & don't forget to pay your respects to your banker (Scrivener)! As a son of a Sydney director you are always sure of a cordial reception there. In 1915 Lassetter was living at 5 Ormonde Gate, Chelsea S.W., & he was a Brigadier General then. He would, I am sure, be glad to see you. I don't know Mrs. Arthur Lassetter's address. What about a London Club? You ought to have several. The Overseas Officers' Club in the Royal Automobile Clubhouse ought to be useful, & as for others you must depend on the usual personal introductions from fellow officers to whom you are known. There ought to be no difficulty about that, & you will really find them useful if you are in London or near it. All you have to do is to draw on me for entrance fees & subscriptions & I shall pay cheerfully. Now please don't neglect this.

It is now long past midnight, & your mother is slumbering peacefully on the sofa while I write in the library, so goodbye & God bless you my dear boy. We thank Him from the bottom of our hearts that you are for the present out of acute danger.

Your loving father
Thomas Hughes.
