My own darling Mother & Father,
Since I last wrote I have very little news of myself for I have been solidly at work at the Wing and beyond that have done nothing. I simply sleep like a log in this place & usually get up about 9 & after breakfast go down to Port Meadow & get my machine out & go off to one station or another to instruct & test various people. Usually I am away all day and have my meals at one of the aerodromes. Most evenings I get back to dinner about eight at night & feel so weary after that I go to bed rather than go out. Since I've been here I've only been into Oxford itself about twice – not once in the day time. There have been a few very small dances got up by some of the RAF people which are a cheery break in the monotony of life occasionally. I'm afraid I've become an absolute whale for work these days as I really find I've little time for
