will do with me. I do not want to go back to ordinary instruction again for I had a sickener of that last time. I have asked for a job as a fighting instructor but don't know what the chances are. I do not think there is the slightest hope of my getting a squadron now for I do not think GHQ [General Headquarters] in France would allow any recommendation from there. I was rather hoping to get a squadron but I'm afraid that is settled. But that does'nt matter a bit for I'm not a professional soldier & it won't make any difference to me.
I enclose a cutting from the "Times" of May 15th which is the gazette of my M.C. It is mostly a short statement of the facts of that first weeks scraps with a bit of "hot-air" at the end.
