I have just told Auntie Mary what the scandal mongering folk have been saying about Michael, trying to marry him to the Mullins girls & failing that thinking Auntie Mary might do. It just makes one mad but of course you cant stop vulgar minds giving vent to such ideas. Constance has taken a position out Bronte way. I suppose she has run through all the money. Evie has been in town borrowing money. He got 6-0-0 from Michael, tried Jacakada several times & had the impertinence to wire to Daddy for ten pounds to "help him round the corner" as he put it. A letter is to follow explaining things. I need not say Daddy is adamant the goose that laid the golden egg is quite dead.
