My own darling Mother & Father,
I am afraid I have some bad news for you this time but I am hoping that this letter will reach you before my cable has to be sent saying that I am going overseas once more for a short spell. Though I have so far heard nothing that is actually official, I have heard from various sources in the last few days that I am to be sent overseas again very soon. I hate to have to tell you this because I know that it means more anxiety for you my own darling old Mother & Father and I would do anything to spare you that. Still as I told you in some of my previous letters I have always seen the possibility of being sent out once more and now I am afraid it is a certainty. The Division have started to agitate about me and I will now give you such information as I have from unofficial but quite reliable sources. From this you will see that things are not nearly so bad as they might be and that there is much to cheer you up in spite of the bad news.
