with the Vidals and had a very nice peaceful time far from the madding crowd of the aerodrome. It is so nice to have such a place to go at off times, especially on the Sunday holidays as there is nothing to do at the aerodrome & it is 5 miles to the nearest town (?). Miss Vidal was back home for the week end so I had some young company. They really have been bricks to me and it has cheered me up an awful lot to make some nice friends here.
I am enclosing some snapshots taken the last time I was out shooting with them – I know you will be glad to have them. By the next letter I hope to send you some more of their house & garden that I took last week-end – they are not printed yet. Mrs Vidal is going to look after my dog when I am sent to France, which is very good of her.
I have sent the cheque for £22 to Westminster Cathedral via Miss O'Brien & have a receipt. They will let me know when the tablet is finished and I will go and see it. I am so glad the pastels of darling old Roger are such a success. Have you done anything about my miniatures for Mother & Eileen yet? Please dont forget them.
