Of course he understood that your letter was not to be published, but he was most anxious to hear the real story of what you described as a "Miracle of God" that you should ever have reached Roger in time. Really old Tommy had a great liking for you both, and he was very touched with what we told him. We also told him we should like to give a prize to Riverview to be called the "Roger Forrest Hughes Memorial", and that we would give him £10 a year for it. We suggested that perhaps a prize for the top boy at the University Entrance Exam might be a good one, but he thought ten pounds too much for one prize, & he said he would consult Fr. Sullivan, his prefect of studies, and write to us. He hasn't written yet.

Your last letter had some good snapshots of you & your "Chein d'Alsace" or wolfdog, or whatever you call it. It really looks like a wolf, but you say it is very gentle. I am glad you have a pet to amuse you. 

Eileen Lyons posted to us from Bath a photo of herself & husband evidently taken at the church door after the marriage & with your smiling face in the background. We were very glad to get it for the sake of
