very steady level headed sort of chap who is very well able to look after himself and Eileen too. He is a good R.C. which is the main thing.

Mrs Toohey gave a tea at Claridges on Wednesday & there were a lot of people there. On Wednesday night we all had dinner at the Carlton with José. It was not a big dinner – Mrs Toohey, Eileen, Leon, José, Lady Rotheys & various Dormers & the bridesmaid, one Yvonne Hughes. It was a very nice party.

The wedding took place at St James in Spanish Place at 10 am on Thursday and was very quiet. There was a Nuptial Mass after. Luckily it stopped raining during most of the morning. After the wedding we all adjourned to 11 Mount Street and
