little fellow. I also had a letter from Eileen last mail & am so glad she & Peter are better. From the cable that came from her when I was on leave I see that she is still at Leura but I suppose they will soon be back with you. I know what a joy it must be to you to have them with you.
Do you know that I am now a member of the Royal Air Force & so have left the army! The poor old R.F.C. has ceased to exist & we are all merged into the new arm. We also have a new uniform which will be gradually adopted as our present ones wear out. The proper uniform is all grey blue but during the war it is Khaki, – blue cloth being scarce. The khaki outfit is pretty poisonous as we wear a khaki cap with black band & peak & a big gold badge like
