My own darling Mother & Father,
Since my last letter I have had two lots of letters from you. The first included a duplicate of Mothers letter No. I the original of which came with Fathers No I on the 29th.
On Saturday evening I flew over to Oxford and had supper with Luxton & his wife. They are awfully nice Melbourne people. I slept that night at the camp at Port Meadow.
On Sunday morning I could not get to Oxford to Mass as there was no vehicle available. I had lunch with the Luxtons who have a nice house near the aerodrome. After lunch we all sat out on the lawn & had the gramophone playing. It was a glorious clear warm sunny day and altogether it reminded me very very much of Sunday afternoon at home. I really thoroughly enjoyed it. In the evening I flew back here again. It was an altogether excellent week end.
The Luxtons are big hardware people in Melbourne. I taught Luxton to fly at Oxford and he went to France. He had both his planes shot away
