to tell you news like this but I know how very very brave you are and I feel that God will reward you for all that you have done and suffered for darling old Roger & me by bringing me safely through. It is no use my saying that I will have to face no dangers at all, but I do believe that I will have the very minimum of risk to run. Please God you will only have a short time of anxiety and after that, if only I can win my promotion, no further cause to worry for me. I want to gain my promotion for this reason alone and I am always putting all my soul into my work because I feel that it is the only way I can in the end save you from any cause to worry. It will be very hard to go out when I will ever be thinking of you my own dearest ones and realising what it all means to you. I only pray that God in His goodness will help you and comfort you and give me the grace and strength to do my work well and worthily of you. Whatever the future may have for us I feel that our darling Roger will ever be interceding for us and all will be for our ultimate happiness.
Meantime I am having a very nice time here and the life is very pleasant. Work is going well and already I have turned out more pilots this month than we were asked to produce by the end of the month. My C.O., Segrave, is a splendid man and an R.C. We get on awfully well together and the work done is most
