10.

a start & a good one too – I only hope we keep it up. "B" Flight will go down in the history of the squadron as the first flight to shoot down a Hun.

Today I was up at 6 am for an early patrol but the weather was "dud" and we have to be up at 6 tomorrow or rather today (it is now 12.30 am!).

I have got all the lovely socks which are most useful these cold days. As before I wear about six pairs when flying! I have also got a lot of papers too thank you ever so much. The "Bulletin" is quite a well known paper among the English officers, I find!

No more news now but tons & tons of love to you Eileen and the darling little boy. God bless you all.

Ever your loving
Geoffrey.
