Wednesday morning. 19th Decr 1917.

Just a few lines to close this letter. I had a very good meeting at Manly last night, and am full of hopes of winning tomorrow. Please God we may! I am enclosing heaps of stuff for you to read at your leisure. The row has finished now, & John Meagher's son came in yesterday to the office about his firm's affairs!

I have hurriedly put in Mother's letter a copy of the book plate for Roger's prize, & a copy of Mrs Vidal's letter about you.
