My own Darling Mother & Father,
Two days after I wrote my last letter I got ordered to this new job and had to leave my task, which I was as keen on finishing, to another. I told you that I had been interviewed & informed that I was to be sent to Eastchurch and also that Colonel Martyn had told me he would oppose my being sent away. Apparently his protest brought about a compromise for I was ordered to hand over my job to Collier who was the Examining Officer at this Wing and to take his place. So since last Sunday I have become examining officer in the same Wing as I was in at Witney. Collier has taken on my other job & at any rate he had a fair start at it, as my week's work had reduced chaos to some semblance of order. However it is no longer a
