My own darling Mother & Father,
Since my last letter written on the 26th April I have got more of your dear old letters. These are Mothers 20 duplicate & 22 and 21 duplicate and Fathers of March 12th. It is simply great to get them and all your loving cables too. I have what I call my "cable fund" with Aunty Mary & she cables regularly to you the latest news of me. I think this is the best arrangement for it is quicker in the long run than sending them from here which is not easy.
I have not very much news for you this time except that I am very well & most cheery which is the best news of all for you I know.
An awful spell of "dud" weather was broken at last on Friday by a fine warm day. For us it was a very busy and most successful day as the squadron got about nine Huns destroyed and six out of control. I think Claye & I were about the only pair who had'nt something to claim that day! It was'nt for want of trying though, for we were in the thick of all the fighting and in spite of our failure to crash any Huns various holes in the
