I got a very nice letter from Teddie Campbell too – it was awfully good of him to write. We are all vastly amused at Daddy's "grande Triomphs" over O'Reilly. It is simply splendid and I can well imagine your chortling over the whole episode. I wonder how our Sinn Fein friends are feeling now out there – are they going to come out openly as traitors?
Did I tell you that shortly after my return I had an awfully nice letter from Major Smith saying how sorry he was I had to leave old 62 squadron? He said the General had recommended me to run a school in Egypt, but I've heard nothing of it on this side. It would be good for there might be a chance of leave from there to Australia.
