day. Having now done over two hundred hours flying I am getting to feel more & more at home in the air. I do not try to do silly stunts at all but I am able to try various manouvres that will be useful if I have to go back to France later on. I never attempt to do anything at all risky and any new manouvres I try are always done at a safe height. I have never attempted to loop the loop, though I could do that at any time. In point of fact it is absurdly easy to do, and provided it is done at over 3000 feet is quite safe. Still I have sort of never felt inclined to do it just because it is so much talked of.

At present I have not got charge of a flight as Barnes is back from hospital after measles. The C.O. has recommended me for promotion but I dont know whether I will get it or not.

I got your cable today saying the medallion had arrived but was not yet delivered, and also not to send any more parcels.

I have just arranged with Eric Fisher to take Rogers little photos etc out to Eileen so they will be safe in his charge. He will be going on a transport so they will be as safe as can be. I think I had better take this chance to send them out to you.
