Personally I do not find any trouble from flying at great height and today did not affect me at all. You can get some idea of what splendid machines we have when I tell you that I got to 19000 feet this morning although my engine was running badly! Altogether I am very bucked with everything and feel quite confident that whatever the Hun may produce in the Spring we will give a good account of ourselves.

I have had a very heavy cold since arriving here but it is getting much better – flying agrees with it! I have met many people I know out here including old Snow who was my flight commander in No 10. 

Aunty Mary is awfully good and writes to me nearly every day. Maurice's leg is improving at last and I hope he is nearly at the
