My own Darling Mother & Father,

I think the only news since my last letter (31/7/17) is about Eileen Tooheys wedding. I got to London about 3 pm on Wednesday and Mrs Toohey put me up at her flat in Mount Street. There I met the bridegroom for the first time. He is an awfully nice chap & I like him very much. He gets about wonderfully on his wooden leg & is a very cheery soul. Mrs Toohey is very pleased about everything and thinks a great deal of Leon. He seems to be a
