My own darling Mother & Father,
Shortly after I last wrote I got a chance to go to London to see Aunty & the family. Frank got some more leave so I went down on Saturday evening and stayed till Monday morning. A few days before I had got down to them for an evening but had to come back in the morning. It was great to see old Frank again and especially to get first hand news of all you dear ones. He said that you gave him a great old send off. It made me very happy to hear what a wonderful difference it made to you when I came back from France. I feel a terribly selfish rotter to have ever had any regrets about leaving France but really I have never felt sorry that I did, once I got over the first loneliness at being among
