My very own darling boy, Can you just imagine our joy on getting the news that you had won the coveted Military Cross. We knew your work before had earned some rewards, but now you have really got it at last. How proud you must have been dearest when the news first came. I only wish Daddy & I could have seen your dear beaming face, but we are glad you were with Auntie Mary who has been a second father & Mother to you in all your joys & sorrows, doubts & difficulties. You know dear what pride we have always felt in you dear boys & how we are more than ever proud of you both, thank God. Daddy was in bed when the
