to catch the train from Victoria at 7.30 am so I think I will go to the Grosvenor Hotel for tomorrow night as it is very handy for the station.

Really this has been a grand old leave and the holiday has made me feel as fit as I possibly could be. The last week has been a time of great strain and anxiety for all of us but I see no reason to have our tails down over the war news. So far the great offensive is held and I am sure that it will be held & defeated. Anything short of the crumpling of our army is utter defeat for the Hun who is stakeing everything on this last great gamble. Of course the attacks will go on for months – this summer will be
