time but I know you are always interested in it.
Yesterday I had a grand mail from you & Eileen. I got Mother's No 20 & 21 & 19 duplicate and Fathers of February 19th & 27th. I am so glad your stay at Manly is doing you so much good and am vastly amused at the account of the wierd collection that are staying at the hotel. I should just about think that Tighe Ryan would be the last straw!!
I am awfully sorry you have had the worries about Evie & Constance – really they are the most extraordinary lot & I can't understand them at all. The poor old Mulls too must be having a bad time with their poor relations. "Its a quare world surely & 'tis quare people are in it."
I got a lovely set of photos of Peter's birthday party from Eileen. They are simply splendid I think & I love to have them to add to my collection. The photos of everyone except Mother are simply splendid. Oh I do wish this old war would end & I could be back with you all. One cannot see the end in sight at present but I can't feel really anything like depressed about the war. Things are terribly serious for us, I know, but I suppose I am an incurable optimist!
