Letter No 4.

Rendcomb
8th October 1917.

My own darling Mother & Father,

Just another short letter to try & keep up a constant run of letters to you even though there is not enough news to write a long one.

I have heard from Mary that they got a wire from Maurice to say that he is in hospital at Manchester of all places!! It is a shame to upset all their plans by sending the poor old chap up there. Aunty had arranged for him to be sent to a London hospital & now they go & do that. Of course poor old Aunty dashed off by the first train to Manchester & the girls are following later. They hope to get him moved nearer London. Anyway it is great to have the dear old boy over in England again, and I am sure it is a great joy to Aunty & the girls. I am going to wait till I hear definitely about where he is to be finally settled before I try to get leave to see him. I havn't heard from Aunty since she went to Manchester and am anxiously waiting news of how the old boy is. It will be grand to see
