April 17. 1917

Geoffrey darling your dear loving letter of Feb 10th came to-day. We have not had any for about a month & were just longing to hear from you. Yesterday two letters came from Auntie & one of the girls for Eileen & the large packet (of her own letters to our darling I suppose) sent by you. I was rather sad when there was not one for us but hoped to get some to-day & some did. Well my darling Daddy & I feel you had a difficult & delicate situation to face through your loving wish to please us & get your transfer. When I read your dear letter I felt I had perhaps asked you to do too much but on the other
