a few friends & relatives of the happy pair came too, & we had some fizz & wedding cake. About 12.30 Mr & Mrs Lyons left by car for their honeymoon. Mrs Toohey was in very good form, though she must have been tired out after it was all over, as she had been going like mad for the last fortnight making all the arrangements.
I have your cable & will draw £10 & get Mrs Toohey to buy a present as I may not have a chance to do so.
Thank you very much for your loving cable about my promotion. I am awfully glad for your sakes that it has come through.
