the pigs! Dont laugh, because I am serious. We have to keep a few pigs to eat up the scraps and my newest duty is to be responsible for the piggery!!
To day I had a very strenuous day & am very tired to-night. There is an a Canadian here who has done a lot of flying – comparatively speaking – but can't fly for nuts yet. What I mean is that he has been very slow learning – for he is only a pupil. I know he will be awfully good if only he can learn to land, as he is an a very stout hearted fellow and is very keen to fly. So I took him up this evening and went plugging round the aerodrome & landing and made him land the machine about eighteen times with my guiding hand to correct his mistakes till I think I have taught him how to do it. I did'nt get down to dinner till somewhere about nine o'clock to night!
One of the latest arrivals here is Lyel Sly from Sydney who has been an observer in France & is now learning to fly. There are a very good lot of chaps here taking them all round and I like the whole show very
