be stirred. I can't express my disgust & contempt for the whole crowd of them – one would expect even the lowest cur to fight for his own existence.
So the next few months will see the great decisive battle of the war for whatever happens the end cannot be far off now. Please God we will win through but it will be a terrible struggle and many anxious days are before us. I am not the least pessimistic about it so long as the people in England play the game.
Just before coming on leave I got a home mail in which were Mothers dear letters Nos 16 & 17. It was great to get them. Give my bestest love to Eileen & Peter & all the family. Tons & Tons of love to you, my own darling Mother & Father. Please do not worry over me – I am wanted now and I will always try to do my very best to do my job resigning all my hopes to God, Who will give me the courage and strength to do it worthily of you. God ever bless and guard you my own darling ones, and bring us all happily together once more again before long.
Your ever loving son
Geoffrey.
