by the rough handling they get on the way over. There isn't much difficulty at present in getting that here. Some of the butter is rather rancid for the same reason – tins burst. Still they are all very very acceptable delicacies these days and are greatly appreciated in the mess.

I am going to get down to see Aunty Mary some day this week even if only for one evening. She has been such a perfect dear to me always and I hate to think of her great sorrows. I havn't seen Frank yet but hope to get a bit of leave when he gets his next leave.
