I have not been to Veitchs for some weeks. I saw nothing very remarkable there the last time. I saw a specimen of the Lilium Association, with 2 items on which were 19 magnificent flowers larger than any I had seen before. I believe you have live specimens in the Colony. I can truly say cherish them. By the way, I will see that you get a fresh collection of my figs & Vines included in the Damascus [indecipherable] of Paradise. Harry seems I think disappointed at the results of his broken [indecipherable]. The loss by the [indecipherable] was of course a most serious [indecipherable]. The orchids from the North Coast are interesting to the Scientific collectors, but they are few, and the Vs are arranging to sell them off before [indecipherable]
