a place you will recollect, & to which I hope to return with my wife, who has been a good deal shaken up by going to & fro between London & [indecipherable] in attendance upon my poor dear Sister, in my absence, in a few days.  Under any circumstances soon to have come up to his goodbye to your Brother James your Sister & Elizabeth, who are to us as you may imagine, as dear as blood relations, dearer in fact than many of mine.  We grieve very much at parting with them, but it is clear that they ought to go & that they will be all the happier for going, so we try to reconcile ourselves to their departure.
