I trust you will not think that I am falling short of my duty by not writing before this, I have been waiting these last few days expecting a package of Orchids from the neighbering hills, dispatched by Capt. F. Onslow, as I learn from Miss Onslow of Pend Grove, but they have not as yet turned up, you will, I think be pleased to hear that a box of terrestrial Orchids have reached here from Rome in capital condition packed in moss I believe every tuber
