My dear Friend
I have been much upset for the last 48 hours. My poor kind [indecipherable] friend Peter died yesterday morning at Torquay, after another Pain type seizure. His remains are now on their way to Glasgow whether I go to in two days time to attend the Funeral. He has held his life for the last 2 years or so precarious & undesirable a [indecipherable] that one could scarcely write [indecipherable] prolonged & got now there
