I want [indecipherable] for papers for some of the Societies I belong to.  Can you send me notes on the change of Climate which has been so remarkable on your side of the globe.  I want to [indecipherable] & list your rain.  You will say, but I will take care & give you the [indecipherable] of the observations.  My little stream here only dribbles & so all this morning that I have expended in making water [indecipherable] & fountains is for the present lost, but shall have a return of wet weather some day I daresay but really I believe that the open
