most agreeable man when I was in the Island, but he is eccentric certainly & has [indecipherable] him just as he [indecipherable] you.  He promised me many things but I have had nothing from him, some seeds of the [indecipherable] but there are glorious things to be got from there & I think of trying him again.  Dr. King himself might get you all you could get from Thwaites.  And now dear friend I have got to the length of my letter.  I must just say that I was delighted to hear from Onslow that you had [indecipherable] all right again, that all the [indecipherable] party were well, that you had had a fair supply of rain, & that affairs generally with you were looking well.  With [indecipherable] to you all.
