I have some special matters which I wished to bring before the public, such as a return to Transportation, not to Australia or its neighbourhood of course & for the want of which life & prosperity in this country is becoming more insecure than ever I knew it in Australia. Compulsory education for the [indecipherable] garrisons in name & military schools & so on. A strong Govt. may take this plan of social questions up perhaps. God knows that these are of the more consequence than [indecipherable] to beat the sentimental [indecipherable] of the Irish.
Could I have quite seen that my dear wife would be strong enough to visit you as she & I could wish I should write now to [indecipherable] you to come home to live the next
