inferior luminary who as he rejoices in the name of Marsh & I suppose we must resiquote[?] A Jack o' Lantern.
He is a great talker - a man of forty woman polite of tongue - and having been a great traveller has completely eclipsed my little modest stories of the Murrumbidgee & Murray with his monstrous big yarns of the Rhine & Danube. I am consequently rather anxious by a change of scene to create a diversion in my own favour.
