Dear Sister,
I am in receipt of your letter dated July & note inter alia that you have been guilty of trying to write verse. Let it alone take my advice. Your photo is rather good & congratulate Miss Drus or Elsa thereon. Also received various photos of Jean which are rather good. Have also received mother's letter No 7 & surprised to find that you had not received my cable. Of course it was a week end cable & didn't go till the week end after we arrived here - half rates. However I have learnt from another source that they did arrive safely. About that chap Bolton - I know him alright but thats about all. Tell Elsa if she lets a piece in the back seam of my pants I think she will manage to sit down.
Well about news now. I have again had rather advent week end. During last week received a telegram from Billy to say that he was in England & another asking me to meet him in London on Friday night. I put in
