Dear Dad,

I have just received another letter from you of 4.2.19 for which many thanks. I am glad you wrote to Mon. Hiver at Neuville-au-bois they will think the world of it.

Yes I took up something under the Educational system - learnt the principles of book keeping which will be useful to me on the trip home particularly as I have asked to give Jack a hand with the Bookkeeping class as well as teaching the law part of it. As for continuing my studies over this side it is out of the question. The educational scheme looks all very well on paper but I have had something to do with it. Armistice came just about six months too early for it & took it before its machinery was ready. In any case the department is militarised & that cruels it. They are certainly doing some good for agricultural students & elementary trades but professions are a bit beyond their provisions. And I think it is waste of time staying over here longer than necessary.
