I have had hard luck with the Mongolia as I had about 100 francs worth of stuff on board. However I will endeavour to get something in Paris.

The other day we were inspected by "Doug" & put up such a fine show that we are expecting to be sent back to the war. The day after Jack & I got leave & went to Boulogne. It was a great trip. We were given a days' leave & had to get there & back the best way we could & being Australians we soon found out a means. Got up about 5 am & walked four miles to the nearest railway station. We were pretty lucky for just as we got to the siding an empty "goods" pulled in & we hopped aboard into the guards van & travelled to Boulogne dangling our feet out the door. Being a "goodser" it took four hours to do a half hours run & landed us in town about midday.
