Dear Dad,
I have now three letters of yours to answer. Re those elastic strands for Jack's aeroplane, I will see what I can do. A young French man took me to the shop & bought it & I may be able to get him to get the extra "power" strands. Since the Duechill's boy has got into the flying corps & will be shortly leaving for England. I don't suppose it is worth worrying about getting him a 'plane.
About all the parcels etc from Paris, I think you have rec'd everything except a wooden box about 6" x 4" x 4" contg a lot of souvenirs. Inter alia there were a belt of badges for Jack a couple of nose caps & other things of that nature from the battlefield, my diary up to Paris leave - post cards maps etc. I think the chap who destroyed the first page of that letter of mine collared those souvenirs too. For souvenirs too they were worth more than all
