& an Australian lewis gunner got him from the ground. He fell in the Aussie lines.

There are some Australian squadrons about. One squadron is in these parts. They are fine to watch. Five little fast machines come home every evening & start to stunt over our lines. They simply go mad, play follow the leader & do incredible things. They start by looping the loop - that is nothing - then they do wing over wing falls - special nose dives - side slips - anything at all. Then they have a race for home picking leaves off the trees & skimming the crops as they go along. They often put the wind up in our chaps by diving to within a few feet of their heads. When we were playing cricket of an afternoon while we were out they used to swoop down to see the score. Yes I am glad you invested that  £100  in the war loan. Have you done anything more about the bit of land in Alison Rd?
