I sent from Paris cont'g a belt of badges diary & many other things. I am very anxious that they should reach home as they would interest you more than anything I have sent.
If I ever get the chance of buying something again I won't forget Dad & Granny but we are not now in country where that can be done.
Last time I wrote we were out resting. After five days of this in which we swam & otherwise did nothing we went into the line again.
This time our squad went to the dugout where the piano was & had a great time.
During our absence someone had souvenired a score of Faust & we had Faust in the trenches. All the boys from the other posts used to visit us & we had to turn on coffee & music & cards all day long for them. In the line like this we live fine. There are eight of us at each post no bosses & we live how
