brought him a message & he was looking away talking so we passed unnoticed to our great disgust. Afterward however when we were congregated along the road to cheer him as he passed Artie shouted right under his very nose "Three cheers for his Majesty". The three cheers rang out from every throat except about thirty who were engaged getting snaps. I got one but the weather was so dull that I don't expect much of a result. The King was very serious & did not smile only saluted our cheers - he must have been too impressed by the sea of khaki - he said he was in the paper.

Mad Mick the frivolous flyer amused us all the while by looping the loop  & acting the tumbling pigeon.

I suppose you have been hearing about all the Zepp raids of late. They hold them almost nightly now. They bagged two the other night & a policeman captured one together with the entire crew.

Talking again about the review. The general impression is that the boys were rather disappointed in the appearance of the King. We are all expecting six day's leave out of the visit but it has not come yet. There was a chap in the King's followers dressed in a top hat & frock coat which the boys reckon was H.M. batman. One chap I heard called out 'cold feet' as he passed on the inspection. Just the Australian spirit. I am sure most of them were more interested in the flying exhibition than
