Dear Mother,

This is the last note I will write home from this side. At last we are off on the 11th and I may beat this letter home myself. Jack & I got that three days leave to London & had a great time - met several of the boys who were on leave & had some farewell dinners. I am quite satisfied to come home now I have seen practically everything. We got the photos of our Nice trip the other day - 96 - from Kodaks - they are beautiful. I have about 130 now to bring home.

Tomorrow I suppose we will send that long awaited cable "Sailing". The "Borda" is a fine big ship carrying about 1700 men via the Cape. It will be a coincidence that we sail from England on 11th May - the day we left Aussie 3 years ago.
