Dear Dad,
Received your long letter of 11/5/18 a week ago & many thanks. Re the £25 you sent to the Comm' Bk. I rec'd a notification from them saying that they had the money there for me & awaited my instructions. From chaps who have come back from leave it appears that this Dept is purely a military one run on military lines & consequently soldiers experience difficulty & delay in getting their money when on leave. Most of the soldiers have no time for the place so I thought it would be the better plan to have the money forwarded to Mr Reeves to hold for me & I advised the Bank accordingly & also communicated the facts to Mr Reeves. What do you think about it? Should you prefer that I leave the next £25 at the Bank I will do so.
